      Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing)

Shinrin-Yoku literally forest bathing is a growing movement originating from Japan in the 1980s. It is total immersion in the woodland. Shinrin-Yoku lowers cortisol, helps us reconnect with the natural world and promotes good physcial and mental health. We won't cover more than a few miles, it's not a hike, we'll use some of the 30 Shinrin-Yoku invitations to connect all the human senses with the natural world and you'll take home a hand out with the rest for you to use as you wish. Shinrin-Yoku has been shown to have huge health benefits in Japan and now it's finally coming to the UK. It lowers heart and blood pressure, whilst improving mood. The session will end with a guided relaxation (if the ground is dry enough) and will go ahead no matter what the weather! Phones are prohibited. It is both kookie and brilliant!
